Victoria Embankment Dusk until 9pm
For those who wish to pay their respects in person on Remembrance Sunday, large format projections of cascading poppies will be beamed on to the Victoria Embankment memorial.
The projection will be visible on the evening of Sunday 8 November between dusk to 9pm, with members of the public able to view the projections in quiet contemplation, over a four-hour period in a safe socially distanced way.
The projections and accompanying background soundtrack provide a visually stunning, contemporary and moving way to mark Remembrance Sunday for all Nottingham residents.

People across Nottinghamshire - adults and children alike, are invited to mark Remembrance Day by displaying images of poppies in their windows at home as well as sharing them on social media.
Like so many things this year, the Poppy Appeal has had to adapt to the threat of Covid-19. The Royal British Legion is asking public to support like never before, because every poppy counts.
With some people unable to leave their homes as they normally would to find a poppy, and with many of the charity’s collectors unable to carry out face to face collections, there is a range of new ways for people to show their support remotely.

Wollaton Hall & Deer Park
In the light of the current pandemic, we have an update on the illuminated trail at Nottingham’s Wollaton Hall
Following the announcement of the national lockdown measures coming into force on 4/11/20 the decision has been taken to close all timeslots up until 2/12/20. Bookings after this date are still available.
As of now, the team is looking closely at government guidance and working with the council to ensure safe running and opening from 2 December.
If you have a ticket for a date before 3/12/20 organisers will be in touch shortly to offer you an alternative slot or a refund.
City residents can still claim 10% off tickets for any booking date. You will need to add your Council Tax reference number at checkout.

Nottingham Poetry Festival will be now streaming all events online for FREE from Friday 13 – Sunday 22 November 2020.
With everybody in need of a culture boost as well as a morale boost, all performances, talks and workshops are free. All you need to do is register via the events page on the event website.
With incredible international, national and local artists, the festival will be streaming into living rooms and bedrooms – maybe even bathrooms – all over the world.
