Good morning, John –
We wanted to send you a quick update about what we know, and ask for your help to ensure every vote is counted.
First, we are winning. Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States. Biden and Harris earned more votes than any other candidate in history and will flip at least 3 states from red to blue.
Second, Trump is following the playbook he's been writing for months. Yesterday, he filed lawsuits in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Michigan to halt the states from counting the remaining votes.
It is truly unprecedented, John. Never before in our history has a president sought to strip Americans of their voice in a national election.
It’s absurd. Trump wants to keep counting votes in states where he’s behind, and stop counting votes where he’s ahead.1 It is a naked effort to take away the democratic rights of American citizens.
No matter what he says or does, we will not let Donald Trump steal this election. The counting will not stop. We are going to make sure that every duly cast vote is counted because that is the law.
But we are up against the biggest and most comprehensive legal effort ever assembled. Trump will pour every resource he has to block the will of the people.
This work could stretch on for weeks, so we are coming to you to ask you, if you can afford it, to split a donation with Women’s March and the Biden Fight Fund.
Together, your donation will fund election protection efforts in the courtroom and on the streets. If Trump makes good on his threats, legal teams and organizers are standing by. And we will prevail.
