Election Update
With race calls in 45 states and Washington, D.C., former Vice President Joe Biden ([link removed]) (D) has 253 electoral votes and President Donald Trump ([link removed]) (R) has 213.
Trump won four battleground states ([link removed]) : Florida, Iowa, Ohio, and Texas. Biden also won four: Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin.

Elections are too close to call in five battleground states ([link removed]) . Here's the status of those states as of 8:30 a.m. EST.
* Arizona ([link removed]) : Officials in Maricopa County expect ([link removed]) to release additional results after 9 p.m. ET on Thursday. Biden is leading by 2.4 percentage points with an estimated 86% of votes counted.
* Georgia ([link removed]) : Ballot counting is continuing ([link removed]) into Thursday morning. Trump is leading by 0.4 percentage points with an estimated 96% of votes counted.
* Nevada ([link removed]) : State election officials said ([link removed]) they would not announce any additional results until Thursday at noon ET. Biden is leading by 0.6 percentage points with an estimated 86% of votes counted.
* North Carolina ([link removed]) : Mail ballots postmarked ([link removed]) by Nov. 3 can be accepted until Nov. 12. Trump is leading by 1.4 percentage points with an estimated 95% of votes counted.
* Pennsylvania ([link removed]) : State election officials said ([link removed]) they expected to count most ballots by Friday. Mail-in ballots are also still being accepted in Pennsylvania until Friday. Trump is leading by 2.6 percentage points with an estimated 89% of votes counted.

Georgia ([link removed]) : The Trump campaign filed a lawsuit with the Chatham County Superior Court requesting that the court order election officials to secure and account for absentee/mail-in ballots received after the 7 p.m. receipt deadline on November 3.

Michigan ([link removed]) : The Trump campaign filed a lawsuit with the Michigan Court of Claims to provide election challengers access to view absentee/mail-in ballot counting and other materials and requesting to stop the counting of ballots until that access is provided.

Pennsylvania ([link removed]) : The Trump campaign filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court of the United States over the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's order extending the state's mail-in ballot receipt deadline to November 6, 2020, overriding the statutory receipt deadline of November 3, 2020.
