We are so proud of all Emergistas on the ballot

Hi John,

You read that correclty. 58 Emerge New Mexico wins! That’s 58 Emerge women who won their elections this year, giving Emerge-trained women an 80% win rate in the 2020 General Election.

And Emergistas made history.

Judge Shammara Henderson is the first Black appellete judge in the state and is the first Black woman to be elected to statewide office in New Mexico.

Representative Deb Haaland kept her historic Congressional seat, ensuring that her voice, as well as the voices of her constituents, are heard in Washington, D.C.

Emerge graduates across the state played a key role in growing the Democratic majority in the State Legislature. Emergistas won some of the most difficult races in both chambers - like Meredith Dixon's defense of the House District 20 seat, Siah Correa Hemphill's challenging race in Senate District 28, and Katy Duhigg's Senate District 10 win, which flipped that seat from Red to Blue.

These wins, in addition to major wins in judicial, county, and legislative offices throughout the state, move us one step closer to ensuring that Emerge woman are representing New Mexicans in nearly every level of government. We are so proud of these phenomenal women and we hope you will help us congratulate them on these incredible wins.
