If you have kids then you know accidents happen. And while falling down is a part of growing up, unintentional falls are also the leading cause of non-fatal injuries in children in the United States. Falls can also occasionally lead to more serious long-term consequences and disabilities.

Failure to thrive: My child is not gaining weight!

Poor weight gain becomes a problem when a child falls below the third percentile for weight on more than one consecutive measurement or if their weight declines and crosses at least two major percentile lines. When this happens, the child is now described as “failure to thrive” or FTT.
