*Nottingham City Councils Flood Risk Management team are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and adaptable individual to the role of*FRM Principal Officer Asset Management.*
Suitable candidates will play a key role in delivering strategic flood risk management objectives and supporting other council priorities (CN2028, etc.). Therefore, you should have a minimum of 3 years experience in flood risk management, land drainage, highway drainage and planning / development, with a particular focus on asset management (operation and performance).
Candidates should have an understanding and experience of surface water management responsibilities and how they fit in with the current and future planning and development processes.
You will be part of a wider team responsible for managing flood risk across the city of Nottingham focusing on the statutory requirements of the LLFA, core council plan objectives and the authorities' other strategic priorities.
Candidates will need excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator and experienced in negotiating with customers, businesses, developers and a variety of other stakeholders. This vacancy (1 year fixed term), led by the Regional Energy Projects Manager, will become part of the Regional EnergyTeam for the West and East Midlands, aligning with the Midlands Energy Hub for which energy projects and programmes can be developed and delivered. Building on Nottingham's highly succesful Energy Services division this post covers the whole of the Midlands region. The successful candidate will be employed by Nottingham City Council. This excitingrolewill involvesupporting the work of the Regional Energy Team who are located across the Midlands.This role will require Nottingham to be the main place of work. Currently all Team Members are working from home.
This post will report to the Principal Rural Energy Project Officer, who in turn reports to the Regional Energy Project Manager who is responsible for the day to day operation of the Midlands Energy Hub, based at Nottingham City Council wilthin Energy Services.
