How to Recognize the Beauty in Your Life

To celebrate National Gratitude Month, we’re going to focus on how you can really practice and internalize those feelings of gratitude.

But first, a crash course in acceptance. Although it’s tricky to pin down what exactly acceptance is, we can make things simpler by first balancing our priorities. Does it matter that we hit that green light and save 20 seconds? Probably not. Is it important that we care for the people we love? Probably so. Save your energy for the matters that most deserve it, and remember that absolutely everything will be okay. And that’s acceptance in a nutshell.

But what does that have to do with gratitude? Well, look around now at all your priorities. These are the things that you’ve given your heart to, and in return give your life meaning. It becomes much easier to see the beauty in each when you’re undisturbed by pesky distractions. Listen to recovery expert Joe Caravella as he breaks down the other surprising connections between gratitude and acceptance, and start to see the beauty in your life more clearly.
