We're still waiting on mail-in ballots to be counted in several key battlegrounds. But the bottom line is that we won't know the results until every vote is counted -- no matter what President Trump says.

Here's the reality, friend. The whole reason we're waiting on some states to count mail-in ballots is that their Republican legislatures refused to allow local officials to start counting votes before Election Day. This is despite the fact that MANY states, including Florida and Arizona, have done so for years. Republican lawmakers knew Election Day votes would favor President Trump, and they chose to slow counting to make it appear Trump was ahead, allowing him to sow chaos and confusion.

But it gets worse: the legislatures in three of the states with delayed results -- Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania -- are only majority Republican because of partisan gerrymandering. Democrats won a majority of votes in state legislative races in all of these states in 2018, but the manipulated maps kept them from taking a majority of the power.

We have an opportunity to stop them. Once all the votes are counted, we believe that Joe Biden will emerge victorious, and that we will have won important down-ballot races as well. We can go into 2021 redistricting with a seat at the table in states across the country to fight partisan gerrymandering.

But we can't get there until we count all the votes. Will you add your name today to make sure every ballot is counted?
