We’ll start with the good news. Last night we saw record voter turnout,
with voters across the country making their voices heard.

Joe Biden is on his way to victory. We’re confident and proud of the work
our nurses’ movement led to get out the vote.

Now the not-so-good news. We knew that given the nature of this election,
with so many mail-in ballots, we would not have the final results quickly.
There are still millions of votes left to be counted, and we must ensure
that each one is tallied.

That's why National Nurses United is preparing now in case we need to take
action to demand every vote is counted, and that we swear in a government
of, by, and for the people.

[ [link removed] ]Will you sign your name to demand every vote be counted in this
election? If we leave any votes on the table, our entire democracy will be
at risk.

Politicians can say whatever they want, but it’s the will of the voters
that decides who wins and who loses. And the will of the people is clear:
we will demand that every vote is counted.

The basis of our democracy is that we pick our leaders – our leaders do
not pick their voters. Election officials are hard at work counting every
vote and verifying the results as we speak.

Now it’s up to all of us to uphold our democracy and demand a peaceful
transfer of power as we’ve had since our country's founding.

[ [link removed] ]Please take the first step, and add your name today to our petition
demanding every vote is counted. We’ll be in touch in the next few days on
how you can plug in to make sure every voice is heard.

It’s time to protect our democracy, come together, and tackle the real
issues our country faces like Covid-19 and health care justice.

With strength,

National Nurses United
