While we wait for full results, we know one thing: Virginians turned out in record numbers to reject Trump’s message of hate and division.

Instead, Virginians across the Commonwealth embraced hope. We voted for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Mark Warner -- leaders who bridge divides and make progress on the issues that matter to our families. The people of our Commonwealth are ready to move on from the Trump presidency and enact real change.

Let’s be clear: We are winning this election, but we are waiting for every vote to be counted because we are a democracy. I believe that this democracy must include all of us -- not just the few.

While we wait for every vote to be counted, we feel confident and optimistic that the Biden-Harris ticket will come up on top. A new day is starting in our country, and it is thanks to the hard work and support of each and everyone of you.
