‌‌John,

Like us, you probably barely slept last night. Like us, you’re probably refreshing election results ad nauseam. But while we wait, we wanted to make sure you knew three important things:

1. We knew going into Election Day that it might take days -- or even a week -- to finalize the outcome. This is an election like no other. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, tens of millions of Americans cast mail-in ballots, leading to delays in vote counting and reporting. So right now, we’re urging everyone to remain patient while the remaining battleground states count the votes. Any premature declaration of victory is nothing more than an attempt to usurp the will of the American people.

2. Respecting the vote counting and reporting process is essential to uphold our democratic process. Once all the votes are counted, we are confident that Joe Biden will be declared the 46th president of the United States.

3. Your efforts made a real difference in this hard-fought election! The youth vote in Latino communities skyrocketed, helping Biden flip Arizona. Even though votes are still being counted in Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, our data shows that the young Latino vote surged in those key states as well.

Thank you. For always chipping in when we needed you. For standing with us in this monumental election.

John, thank you for everything.
