Hi friend --

The New York Times: “A federal judge in Houston on Monday rejected Republican efforts to invalidate more than 127,000 votes that were cast at drive-through locations in Harris County, a Democratic stronghold that includes Houston, the nation’s fourth-largest city.”

This is just the latest -- and the most brazen -- attack on our democracy by the GOP in an election overrun by more than 400 voting-related lawsuits.

The Republicans’ desperate, reckless actions expose their deep fear in the power of the people. That’s something to celebrate: because of Democratic efforts nationwide, we are shattering voter turnout records more than 100 years old, and now a state that hasn’t voted blue in 44 years was brought to the brink of contention.

But this is also a warning: The GOP is truly willing to do ANYTHING to steal an election. This time, a federal judge blocked their path. With the right-wing takeover of the courts, we cannot assume that we will be saved when this inevitably happens again.

Friend -- you are truly a champion of progressive causes, and we are so blessed to have you on our team. But right now, we are worried that our hard-earned momentum will stall, and that’s why we are reaching out to you today.
