Friends and Neighbors,

This is not the outcome we would have hoped for. Congresswoman Wagner and I each made our case, and the voters made their choice.

These are painful, divided times for our state and our nation. The partisan bickering and name calling must come to an end. It is incumbent upon our leaders to reach across the aisle and work for the people they have been elected to represent.

This race might be over, but what our campaign stood for will endure. Being your nominee has been the greatest honor of my life and my commitment to protecting people with pre-existing conditions, making our communities safer from gun violence, and creating an economy that works for all of us remains steadfast.

I truly believe our volunteers and supporters represent the very best Missouri has to offer and I will always be immensely grateful for their work.
