John,

First, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support you’ve shown me in my race to unseat Republican Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler and give Southwest Washington a strong, reliable, independent voice for the people in Washington’s 3rd congressional district.

Record-breaking numbers of ballots have been cast in this election, but we’re not done counting yet, with over 79,750 ballots remaining to be counted, and thousands more coming in the mail the next few days. It is so exciting to see how lowering the barriers to voter registration and safe, secure, vote by mail increases voting rates in our fine state.

While we wait for results to hear who the next congresswoman-elect will be, I want to thank everyone who supported this campaign and is a part of this incredible, grassroots effort.

I am so incredibly proud of the strength of this grassroots campaign. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this incredible effort and those who have supported us with their vote.

From reaching out to friends, family, and neighbors all across the community to speak about the campaign, to asking me questions and letting me know about the issues that are on your mind, to chipping in with a few bucks here and there—you were there for me and I deeply appreciate it.

I want what is best for Southwest Washington. The moment we’re in right now has shown us that business as usual just won’t cut it. I’m hopeful this election illustrates that this district deserves representation of all the people in Southwest Washington.

I’m proud of everything the team has accomplished so far, and we are more motivated than ever.
