The Asian Americans Advancing Justice affiliation, a group of five, independent Asian American civil rights organizations, issues a statement following election night results:

In this time of the pandemic and increased use of mail-in and absentee ballots, we knew there was a chance that we might not know the winner of the Presidential election on Tuesday night, but democracy  depends on trust in the elections. Every vote counts, and it takes time to count every vote so we must prove that nothing will stop us from confirming the will of the people. When we stick with the process for counting every vote, we demonstrate our deep commitment to democracy–even when that takes time to do. Asian Americans Advancing Justice is committed to ensuring that everyone, including Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, are heard and represented in an equitable democracy.

Questions about tracking your ballot or other voting concerns? Track your ballot at ballotready.org and call the 1-888-API-VOTE (1-888-274-8683) hotline if you need help through Friday, November 6. Bilingual assistance is available in English, Mandarin (普通話), Cantonese (廣東話), Korean (한국어), Vietnamese (tiếng Việt), Tagalog, Urdu  (اردو), Hindi (हिंदी), and Bengali/Bangla (বাংলা).

Was My Vote Counted? What To Do After You Vote!
Sometimes your ballot may not be counted. Ballot counting takes place for days after Election Day, so you may have time to fix some of the problems for why your ballot was not counted.
