We mobilized. We turned out in historic numbers. We braved a global pandemic and stood in defiance of voter suppression. We elected progressive champions all the way down the ballot. And votes in many states are still being counted.
It is already clear that Trump has been soundly rejected by a majority of voters — by a margin of millions that is still growing. And when every vote is counted in every state, it will also be clear that Joe Biden has won the presidency and Donald Trump has lost.
Our job over the coming hours and maybe even days is clear as well. We must demand that every vote be counted and that every vote counts. If that happens — when that happens — we will win and the will of the people will prevail.
