Although votes are still being counted here in GA-6, the margin for me appears
to be too big to close.  Last night was another tough night for Republicans in
Georgia’s suburbs, but there were some bright spots across the country with
Republicans picking up a few seats in the U.S. House.

 

 

My sincere thanks for your tremendous support throughout this campaign.  The
effort by Team Handel was truly exceptional.  This team put their all — and
then some — into this campaign and on my behalf.  To each of you receiving this
email, my sincere gratitude.  Your financial support, your volunteer time, your
encouragement, and your prayers mean so very much.

 

 

Most of you know that I’ve faced some real challenges and personal heartbreak
in my life.  Still, I’ve always been a person who looks ahead and stays focused
on the possibilities that await.

 

 

So today, that’s exactly what I am doing . . . looking ahead and finding
strength and comfort in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future.”

 

 

Steve and I are so grateful to each of you.  Your friendship truly enriches
our lives.
