Good afternoon --
I have a couple of brief updates for you, and I’ll start with the most important, before asking for your help.
First: Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States.
While the counts are still continuing, our position remains the same as it was last night: we feel good about what we are seeing. We will win Wisconsin and Michigan. We feel confident about Pennsylvania. The Vice President has a historic national popular vote count -- more than any candidate in history -- and will flip at least three 2016 Trump states (four, if you count Nebraska-02).
Second: You may have missed it while you were sleeping (I hope you were sleeping), but President Trump delivered a statement last night at 2:30 AM, trying to shut down the counting of duly cast ballots. It was outrageous, unprecedented, and incorrect.
It was outrageous because it is a naked effort to take away the democratic rights of American citizens.
It was unprecedented because never before in our history has a president of the United States sought to strip Americans of their voice in a national election.
And it was incorrect because it will not happen. The counting will not stop. It will continue until every duly cast vote is counted. Because that is what our laws -- the laws that protect every American's constitutional right to vote -- require.
The President threatened to go to court to prevent the proper tabulation of votes. We are standing up the biggest and most comprehensive legal effort ever assembled. This work could stretch on for weeks, so I am coming to you to ask you to pitch $25 in to the newly-formed Biden Fight Fund.

The Biden Fight Fund will fund election protection efforts for Joe Biden and Democrats up and down the ballot. If he makes good on this threat, our legal team is standing by. And they will prevail.
I want to repeat what the Vice President said last night: Donald Trump does not decide the outcome of this election. Joe Biden does not decide the outcome of this election. The American people decide the outcome of this election. And the democratic process must and will continue until its conclusion.
Nearly 100 million people cast their ballot before Election Day in the belief -- and with the assurances from their state election officials -- that their ballot would be counted. Now Donald Trump is trying to invalidate the ballot of every voter who relied on these assurances.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will stand for the right of all Americans to have their votes counted -- no matter who they voted for. And we remain confident that when that process is completed, Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States. But as always, we can only do it with your help.
We will keep you updated throughout today.
Thanks for all you’re doing, and let’s bring this home.
