John, it’s official: we are headed to Washington D.C.
This victory belongs to you. Thousands of volunteers and donors have helped us make history together by sending the first Black woman in Missouri to Congress and the first nurse in Missouri to Congress.
We have a lot of work to do. Across this country, there are working parents struggling to make ends meet. There are young people burdened by crippling student debt. There are uninsured folks who can’t access health care in the wealthiest nation on earth. There are Black and brown Americans who live in fear of the people that are supposed to protect them. I have lived all of these experiences. These are the stories I will carry with me and uplift in the People’s House.
This is just the beginning. Together, we’ve won the people’s seat. But the work to better the lives of working people, of Black and brown Americans, of immigrants, of queer and trans folks, of the people who have been left behind by our economic system, begins today. Our America will be led not by the small-mindedness of a powerful few, but by the imagination of a mass movement that includes all of us.
If you can at this moment, make a small contribution to help support that fight.

This is a moment of joy, and also a moment of reflection. We have been imbued with a responsibility by the people of Missouri’s First District, and we cannot fail that obligation. Together, we’ll fight side by side until every single one of us is truly free.
In solidarity,
Congresswoman-elect Cori Bush
