Ensuring that every vote is counted -- especially in states like Pennsylvania that are expecting delays in the vote-counting process -- is going to be crucial to ensuring a fair calculation of results. Even Trump's trusty media outlet Fox News warned we'll likely see a "red mirage" in Pennsylvania that will later be reversed when late absentee ballots are counted. And "the longer it takes the state to report a final outcome," they note, "the more likely it is that the decision could be legally challenged."

SCOTUS has upheld voting rights so far, blocking Republican attempts at denying ballot-receipt extensions in both North Carolina and Pennsylvania. But they could make moves in the opposite direction any moment -- and stifle the voices of Democrats nationwide.
