We always suspected that this election could be close, and that the unprecedented number of voters casting their ballots by mail would delay final vote tallies past Election Night. Now, it is imperative that the full voice of the people is heard and that every single vote is counted fairly.

Thank you for all you have done so far to help elect a president and Congress who will act to tackle the intertwined crises of climate change, racial injustice, and a deadly pandemic.

Together, we built a massive and focused electoral operation that identified, moved, and mobilized millions of voters in battleground states. We helped voters overcome obstacles and outright voter suppression to make their voices heard by mail, early in person, and on Election Day — leading to what is expected to be the highest turnout in the U.S. in more than a century. Thank you for all you have done to make this possible.

This fight is not over.

As ballots continue to be received and processed across the country, and state and local officials work overtime to tally the results, LCV Victory Fund stands united with the millions of people who are demanding that every single vote is counted. Counting every ballot means that election officials are doing their jobs: ensuring each and every voter is heard.

Voters demand that every vote be counted. Our democracy demands this. Our future demands this.

We must work to ensure that election officials are able to do their jobs and complete a free, full, and fair count, as the law requires.
