Free clean-up week also begins Nov. 16
The week of Nov. 16 is also free clean-up week in Oswego. Place bulk item and extra household waste to the curb by 6 a.m. on your regularly scheduled collection day for free collection. Curbside vacuum leaf collection continues
Village Public Works crews continue to vacuum leaves at the curb. Crews are in Zone A currently, and will be collecting in Zone B the week of Nov. 9, and Zone C the week of Nov. 16, weather permitting. A final collection throughout Oswego is expected to begin Nov. 23, weather permitting. Check your zone on our Brush, Leaves and Yard Waste page.
The Village's curbside vacuum leaf collection program is subject to change depending on weather. In the case of early snow or other inclement weather, the leaf collection program may end early. If you wish to ensure that your leaves are collected, bag them and place them at the curb on your regularly scheduled garbage day. The final week for yard waste bag collection is the week of Nov. 23.
Residents are also encouraged to use earth-friendly alternatives to leaf collection, including composting leaves and using leaves to winterize cold-sensitive plants in the garden.
