We must work together to be the voice for the animals. Defender,
At Defenders of Wildlife, we believe in fair elections and an active and engaged
electorate to ensure a healthy democracy. No matter what the final outcome of
this election is, we must take the time to count every lawful vote.
The election's outcome—not just who wins the White House but also what party
controls Congress—will determine what laws get passed, how budgets are allocated
and what direction key wildlife-related agencies (such as the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Services and the Environmental Protection Agency) will take.
But no matter who wins this election, we won’t give up: Now more than ever, we
must stand and fight together.
Defenders of Wildlife will never give up. We will be relentless in our fight to
conserve our natural world. We will double down and work tirelessly to protect
our nation’s precious wildlife and wild places. We will take legal action and
mobilize the public to defend imperiled species and special landscaped whenever
necessary.
Your support – and your engagement – is now more important than ever. We must
work together to be the voice for the animals. Today, we renew our unwavering
commitment to speak out for wildlife.
The challenges and the privilege of working to save the wild never end. I know
you feel the same way and I can’t tell you how grateful we are to partner with
you to save and defend our precious natural heritage.
We’ll reach out to you soon with plans for a pro-wildlife 2021.
Sincerely,
Jamie Rappaport Clark
President, Defenders of Wildlife
