Friend,

I am incredibly proud to announce that last night, San Francisco voters passed Proposition D with an overwhelming majority! Last night's results show that after years of injustices, San Franciscans recognized the urgent need for transparency and accountability within the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department.




While we watch and wait for the results of the presidential election, we are thrilled to celebrate this victory here in our city. Though this is only one of many steps we must continue to take to change our local criminal justice systems, I look forward to working with the new Oversight Board, fellow elected leaders, Sheriff’s Department, and community members to turn our measure into reality over the next few months.

This victory would not have been possible without the widespread commitment and support from grassroots organizations to community members like yourself-- thank you.

I am humbled and ready to continue working alongside you to create a brighter future for District 10, our city, and our community.
