Friends,

I hope you managed to get some sleep last night. I want to update you on my race for reelection as North Carolina's Attorney General.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, we are in the lead by 10,769 votes. There are still mail-in and provisional ballots to count, but I feel very confident in our position and eager to keep at this work. I look forward to continuing to protect the people of North Carolina as your Attorney General for another term.

I'd like to thank you for your efforts, your time, your contributions, and your friendship throughout this election.

This campaign has been about a lot of things — our work to keep families safe, deliver justice for victims of sexual assault, protect seniors and other consumers, clean our drinking water, and preserve our right to vote.

Above all, this campaign has been about our shared vision for a strong North Carolina. It’s why so many people joined our efforts -- and why I am honored to have received more than 2.6 million votes.

I love North Carolina and believe in the people of our state, and I am so grateful that you believed in me.

I am confident that we have won this election -- but as I said, I will do everything in my power to ensure that all legal ballots are counted to confirm this.

With gratitude, and for a safer and stronger North Carolina,

Josh
