It’s been a long four years, a long election, and a long night.
In a democracy, every vote counts and every vote must be counted. That’s the message we all must hammer home until, in fact, every vote is counted.

Of course, I know we all care about the results.

Here’s what I can say about that now:

As I write, it looks reasonably likely that Biden is going to win the presidency.

If you are rooting for Biden, do not be distracted or discouraged by the results that came in last night. The later-counted votes are coming in heavily for Biden, and the odds are good he’s going to prevail.


Stay patient, stay strong, and stay safe.
