“Rose” was in a desperate situation.

She was in an abusive relationship. She was raising three children. And she was living in a state of constant fear and anxiety. When Rose found out she was pregnant with another child, her dire circumstances left her feeling hopeless.

One day as Rose was leaving work, the father of the baby showed up and began shooting at her car. He was arrested, and she soon decided that she must press charges.

Rose was desperate, afraid, and alone. She had no idea how she could bring another child into the world. With nowhere left to turn, she believed abortion was her only option and began looking for abortion information online.

But thankfully, Rose found Human Coalition, and she was greeted with a caring team who was ready to walk alongside her.

Rose’s story of domestic violence and abuse is tragic, and unfortunately, it is a story that has become all too common for the women who reach out to Human Coalition for help.
