Dear John,
Donald Trump is trying to undermine our democracy. Take action to ensure every vote is counted.

Polls closed just a few hours ago. Millions of mail-in ballots are still being
processed. But Trump is claiming victory and spreading misinformation in a
desperate bid to maintain his grip on power.
Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of American democracy. We need your
help to send the strong message: The election isn’t over until every vote is
counted.

people voted by mail -- while the Supreme Court made last-minute decisions about
which ballots count in key swing states like Wisconsin.
Many states don’t allow mail-in ballots to be counted until Election Day. So as
of this morning, election officials are still processing the results. They may
not be finished for days. And in many states, ballots that were mailed by
Election Day but arrive at election offices a few days from now still count.
There is simply no way to name a winner of the presidential election yet. But that’s not stopping Trump from claiming that he won.
Every voter has the right to be heard and have the vote they cast count. This is
the core of our democracy. Trump can’t declare himself the winner just because
he’s too impatient -- or too worried he’ll lose -- to wait for the real results.
Act now: Demand every vote be counted!

will have even more power to choose our leaders.
Plus, we’ve seen it around the world -- when strongmen force their way into
power against the will of the people, the environment and the climate suffer.
This is a critical moment to stand up for our democracy. Friend, can I count on you to fight back?
