Folks,
We won.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as the representative of Illinois’ Sixth District and continue my work in Washington to protect our healthcare, tackle the climate crisis, and fight for a brighter, more equitable future for all Americans.
It might have been my name on the ballot -- but our victory in this battleground race was due to the hard work and tireless dedication of supporters like you who stepped up to defend our district and our values and refused to back down no matter what.
We took a stand to say that there’s no room for extremism in IL-06. We took a stand to say that we deserve leaders who will serve hardworking families, not President Trump and his special interest friends. We showed that Love has the numbers.
I’m so proud of this team’s work, and I can’t thank you enough for standing with me. Whether you chipped in $5 or $100, joined our team for phone banking or a virtual event, or volunteered at the polls -- I mean it when I say that we could not have gotten through this election cycle without you.
The fight for our democracy is far from over. But today, we’re going to celebrate this win -- and then we’re going to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
Onwards,
Sean Casten
