John,

I know we didn't get the results we wanted last night, but I can't thank you enough for all you've done.

Together, we accomplished so much. You pitched in to help us meet critical fundraising deadlines. You helped us spread our message far and wide. And you were there every step of the way, working alongside us each and every day. This campaign was always about folks like you, and you should be proud of yourself, John. I sure am.

It’s been the honor of a lifetime to be your voice in Congress. I've been extraordinarily honored to fight for the issues that matter most to you and your family – from expanding access to affordable health care to tackling climate change to creating better opportunities for working families.

But those fights don't end here. If anything, it’s a new beginning. I know how hard you fought for me to win this seat. And even though my term in Congress will be wrapping up shortly, I will never stop fighting for our shared values and for our communities. We've got a lot of work to do, and I'm counting on you to roll up your sleeves right beside me.
