Good morning Community,

Did you manage to get some rest last night? What’s your plan to take care of yourself and your people today? Here at Headwaters, we’ve organized an optional Zoom staff meeting this afternoon to provide mutual support and to just be together. We’re also encouraging each other to volunteer, take a mental health day, focus on work, or do what feels best during a tense election cycle.

It’s true: we don't know the election results yet. What we do know is that we showed up to vote, that we supported others to vote, and that our energized alliances did everything possible leading up to and on Election Day. Those alliances have brought us one day closer to the world we deserve, want, and need, so let’s take part of today to remember that.

No matter the outcome, this state and our country need you to continue showing up, to keep fighting. Headwaters sees, believes in, and is here with you. Your strong leadership continues to inspire us and our shared collective liberation work.

In Solidarity,
Headwaters Staff
