I joined this race not because I thought it would be easy, but because the
stakes are too high to back down.

The climate crisis has already turned millions of people—like our
neighbors in the Bahamas—into refugees. Health care costs send half a
million families into bankruptcy every year. Gun violence kills 100
Americans every day.

These are fights worth fighting.

Winning won’t be easy; some of the nation’s biggest interest groups stand
in our way. But we’ve come too far to surrender now.

My team and I have laid out bold plans—the most detailed in this race—to
combat the climate crisis, reduce gun violence, and ensure health care for
all. But I’ll be blunt: A lot of powerful people
in Washington find our agenda too ambitious.

I reject their judgment, and I believe the voters will too.

Just look at last year’s results. In 2018,

* Candidates across the country—including Colorado’s new governor, Jared
Polis—ran and won on a platform of Medicare for All.
* Democrats took the House and are now leading the charge for a Green
New Deal.
* We redefined the range of what’s possible.

This race has become a battle for the soul of the Democratic Party—pitting
the political bosses in D.C. against the people of Colorado and
progressives throughout America. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip
