With our upcoming Caribbean Cruise scheduled for February 21-28, 2021, we’ve been monitoring developments in the cruise industry very closely. Last Friday, the CDC made a major announcement. They issued a "framework for phased resumption of cruise ship operations."

Basically, it’s a plan for issuing “Conditional Sailing Certificates” to cruise lines that complete a series of steps that include establishing sufficient Covid testing capabilities onboard and conducting a simulated voyage to test the crew's ability to mitigate Covid-19 during operations.  

This is very good news because there should be plenty of time for Holland America to earn their certificate before our trip. We will let everyone know as soon as Holland America confirms this.
