INVITATION TO OCTOBER 29 CLEAN ENERGY LOBBY DAY IN SPRINGFIELD

This year, 350 Chicago and many other organizations across Illinois have been working to promote the Clean Energy Jobs Act (HB3624/SB2132). During the summer, 350 volunteers collected petition signatures in support of CEJA. This important piece of legislation, if passed, will decarbonize the state’s electricity sector by 2030, achieve 100 percent renewable energy by 2050, and create thousands of good-paying jobs, including in minority and disadvantaged communities.

This fall, the state legislature will be gathering for six days to pass some final bills. We are working to make sure that CEJA is one of them! Your participation in this October event will come at a critical moment.

We invite you to join activists from every part of Illinois for a special Veto Session Clean Energy Lobby Day on Tuesday, October 29. Participants will speak with their legislators about climate change, jobs and economic opportunities, and an equitable and just transition to clean energy. Those new to lobbying are welcome and will be trained. Buses will be leaving from Chicago and many other locations.

WHAT: Clean Energy Lobby Day - Veto Session Edition

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct 29 - buses leave in the morning and return in the evening

WHERE: Springfield State Capitol, 402 S State Street

PLEASE RSVP!

Thanks,

Alex, 350 Chicago Team Member
