Results (thus far) in 19 competitive congressional races of immigration importance.

At 4:30 a.m. on Election Night, I want to let you know where we stand with the 19 congressional races we've been highlighting for you the last six weeks.

These are races -- rated all fall as very close by the major analysts -- which had a candidate judged by NumbersUSA as much better on issues of immigration reduction and enforcement than the competitor.

The much-better candidate on immigration reduction/enforcement . . .

  • . . . is leading in 6 of the competitive Senate races and in 8 of the U.S. House races.

The immigration expansionist candidate . . .

  • . . . is leading in 2 of the Senate races and 3 of the U.S. House races.

It doesn't look like many more results are coming in until later this morning, so I'll put this in your in-box to peruse over breakfast when you awake. As I do late every election night, I send you these specialized results because you aren't likely to be able to find this information collected anywhere else. NumbersUSA focuses on only one thing in these elections -- the possible impact on future immigration policy.

All of these candidates named here were deemed far better than their opponents at protecting American workers from reckless immigration policies. And all were considered to be in tossup-type races.

(Percentages listed are for vote totals at the time of this email. Races in which the immigration reduction/enforcement candidates are leading are listed in green; races in which they are losing are listed in red.)

Keep in mind that pollsters and pundits had predicted that all of these races could be very close. The races that ended up being decided by large margins are surprises.

Thanks to all of you who found ways to support the immigration reduction/enforcement candidates.

There remain a lot of votes still to be counted before we are sure of the net results.
