John, we won.

I want to say thank you to every single person who has made this campaign
possible: by volunteering your time, chipping in $5, making calls, buying
t-shirts, and talking to your friends and family about our movement.

This is a grassroots campaign, and I'm so proud of what we have done.
Together.

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, there’s been a lot of talk
about “getting back to normal.” Newsflash for anyone in this country who
isn’t a rich white man: for a heck of a lot of Americans—normal really,
really sucked. Prescription drug prices were way too high; college saddled
you with six figures of debt; and corporations got away all too easily
with cheating consumers.

The largest problems that our country faces didn’t start in 2020, or with
the election of Donald Trump. And they won't end on one Election Night.

I’m proud to return to Congress and get to work on building a new normal,
and finally making our government work for working families. I've so
enjoyed this spirited campaign, hearing the voices of Orange County
families, and I'm honored to have earned their trust for another term.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all that you’ve done to make this win
possible, John.
Our success tonight is as much yours as it is mine.
