Hey Team,

We did it, we won this re-election campaign!

Though New York is still counting absentee ballots, and we have to fight to make sure every vote is counted, I wanted to thank you for being a part of Team Clarke and standing with me during this election. I am overwhelmed by the support from neighbors, friends, activists, advocates, and workers who have worked so hard to send me back to Washington so I can continue to fight for our community in the U.S. House.

Sitting in on City Council meetings while my mother fought for our community instilled in me the importance of looking out for your neighbors and always doing what was right. That is the same sense of service that guided me when I served in the City Council and now in Congress, and I am proud to continue to serve you. 

I promise to continue to serve you to the best of my ability. To fight for equal rights, housing reform, immigration, and to work to end systemic racism. These fights are difficult and they will not be taken lightly, but together we can make genuine change.

These past few months we’ve seen the strength of New Yorkers, and it is in that spirit that I will return to Congress and fight on your behalf.

Though we don’t know who has won the presidential election, we are eagerly awaiting states to announce their final ballot counts and declare a winner in the new few days.

Thank you again for all of your support, and I look forward to continuing to work with each and every one of you to make New York’s Ninth Congressional District the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
