With the uncertain outcome of the presidential election, there’s no time to celebrate. In a few minutes, I will meet with my legal team to move forward with defending our democracy. That's my priority right now.

I also want to thank you. We won an overwhelming victory despite hundreds of thousands of dollars in negative ads. We built a truly grassroots movement, powered by people like you and nearly 40,000 donations of $50 or less. And we accomplished this victory while being the only statewide elected official who refused campaign contributions from large corporations. I deeply appreciate the support from across the state, and the hard work of so many who made this victory possible.

As the people’s lawyer, I will continue fighting to protect Washingtonians’ health care, civil rights and environment, while holding powerful interests accountable when they break the law.

But right now, I'm heading back to work to defend our democracy and ensure every legal vote is counted.
