John: we have more great news from our New York elections: Jabari Brisport won his race for the New York state Senate!

This is a big win for our community! Jabari will become the first openly LGBTQ person of color elected to the New York state legislature and a tireless voice for vulnerable communities in the state! He will also join Shevrin Jones – who just won his race in Florida – in becoming the only two openly LGBTQ Black men in state senates when they take office next year.

This is a HUGE win for New Yorkers and our country. Jabari is already preparing to fight for pro-equality issues and ensure all our communities get the support they deserve.
