Well, the polls have closed, John.
But if you’re already in line to vote, stay in line!
Just over a year ago, I decided to run for Congress because I was witnessing the leadership in Washington making lives harder for our community and nobody was speaking on our behalf.
I knew there were Wisconsinites out there that felt like I did. They believe in affordable health care. They want access to good paying jobs. And they want to know that their leaders are representing their interests — not seeking every opportunity to score cheap political points.
Today you proved me right — even though the polls haven’t closed yet, there’s been overwhelming voter turnout and I’m certain that we’ll set new records for voter participation.
While I’m sure we’re all sitting on the edge of our seats, I take comfort in the fact that we put everything on the table and ran on the issues that affect Northeast Wisconsinites.
So, sit back and (try to) relax. You’ll hear from me again soon!
Thank you all, again,
- Amanda
