John—

As I sit here with my family, watching the results of the elections come in, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on and appreciate everything we have accomplished together.

Every rally you’ve attended, every march you’ve joined, every time you’ve reached out to your legislators over the last four years — it’s all made clear how powerful our collective voices are and reinforced just how mighty our movement is.

From the very first Women’s March to mobilizing against the repeated attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act... to fighting alongside our partners to end family separation... to organizing the Stop the Bans Day of Action, NARAL members like you have been the fuel in the engine of resistance to this cruel administration.

When Trump and anti-choice Republicans in the Senate installed Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, they tried to tell us that organizing doesn’t matter, that we were overreacting... that we don’t matter. And they did it again when they rammed through Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation, overruling the will of the people even as millions turned out in record numbers to cast their ballots.

But we’ve shown them time and again that we won’t give up. We know the majority is with us. And make no mistake, John: Our rights matter. Our voices matter. Our votes matter.

They may try to silence us, but our collective voice is powerful. We decide what’s best for ourselves, our families, and our futures. And we will never give up that freedom.

Right now, I’m nervous and scared, just like I know many of you are. But I'm also hopeful that we've made clear that there will always be a political price to pay when anti-choice politicians put our fundamental right and freedoms on the line.

Tonight, I will be thinking of you and all we have built together. Remember, no matter what happens, no one can take our power away from us. And we will never quit until we make reproductive freedom a reality for every body.
