You make all of our progress possible, and it matters more than ever — with our Liberal government continuing to do everything it takes to keep Canadians safe and supported through this global crisis, and to build back better with a stronger and more resilient Canada.
“Because it’s 2015.”
It was exactly five years ago this week that Justin Trudeau was first sworn in as Prime Minister along with our new Liberal government. I’ll never forget what it felt like to see Canada begin a new chapter of real change, including the immediate announcement of Canada’s first-ever gender-balanced cabinet.
As the GOTV Director during our 2015 campaign, I was so inspired to see the hope and hard work of Liberal volunteers and voters across the country help make real progress possible for Canadians – and that hard work continues every day.
Just this past month, our dedicated volunteers and organizers moved forward with two successful by-election campaigns in Toronto Centre and York Centre – and we’re looking forward to having Marci Ien and Ya’ara Saks bring their strong voices to Ottawa. With their election, there are now 100 women representing Canadians in the House of Commons for the first time in history.
You make all of our progress possible, and it matters more than ever – with our Liberal government continuing to do everything it takes to keep Canadians safe and supported through this global crisis, and to build back better with a stronger and more resilient Canada.
Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team are committed to continue investing in the middle class and the most vulnerable, taking real action to fight climate change, and growing an economy that works for everyone. Whether it’s recent steps like protecting a clean environment by committing to ban harmful single-use plastics, moving forward with legislation that bans harmful anti-LGBTQ2 conversion therapy, or making rapid new investments for urgently-needed affordable housing, we’re working hard to build a better future for all Canadians.
Friend, dedicated supporters across the country are chipping in to ensure that we can continue investing in new tools and resources for our volunteers in every part of Canada, and that we always stay ready to respond whenever Erin O’Toole’s Conservatives work to roll back the progress we’re making for Canadians.
This is an important moment. If you’re able, please chip in $10 today (or whatever amount works for you) to support our progress and keep Canada moving forward.
