Hello --

You may be wondering why I'm asking you to make a contribution to our campaign when the election is supposed to be "over" in just a handful of hours -- here's why:

First, no matter what happens tonight and in the days ahead, I expect this race is going to be very close when the votes are counted. Potentially close enough that we won't know who won tonight -- so we need the resources now to ensure every single vote is counted in this very important Senate election.

Second, I pledged to spend a lot of money on our paid media campaign and on grassroots organizing in this final week with the expectation we were going to raise $250,000 on the last day of the race. So far, we've fallen pretty short of that mark and we cannot afford to go into debt, especially if this campaign is too close to call.

This is the last fundraising email I'm going to send before the polls close. You've been an incredible supporter of this campaign and I thank you for that. Can you add a donation of any amount before the polls close?

DONATE: [link removed]

Thanks again,

-- Megan
