Friend – thank you for joining our reelection team. We need your help to continue the work I've been doing in Washington.

When I first joined the Senate, my goal was to bring people together so we could get more done as a nation, help Alabamians, and leave no one behind. And even though it seems like Washington is as partisan and chaotic as ever, I still believe that the people we elect should be able to work together and find solutions that work for everyone.

What we never could have predicted was the pandemic and social upheaval our state and our country have been experiencing over the past few months.

These challenges really emphasize the contrast in my race. I’m running against Mitch McConnell’s handpicked extremist choices. Alabama needs steady leadership and Washington needs more balance. But the truth is, there are people out there who don’t like what we’re trying to do. And they’re working hard and putting a lot of resources behind groups who are trying to push me out.

That’s why I need your help. That’s why your involvement with our reelection campaign will be vital. No one can sit on the sidelines this fall.

Together we can continue to protect and expand health care for everyone in Alabama, rebuild our manufacturing industry here at home, and build a more just society and level the playing field for everyone.

When Alabamians elected me in 2017, they didn’t just elect me. They elected a new idea of leadership that rejects the partisan divide that has been tearing our nation apart.

I’m proud to be the only Democratic senator in the South. And I’m proud to work with everyone in Washington to make bipartisan gains that help Alabama and the nation heal from years of divide and turmoil.

Help me continue to make progress in Alabama by donating to my campaign today.

This race is neck-and-neck. Your support means we can get my message our and turn out the votes necessary to win this election.

Can I count on you today, friend?

With gratitude,

Doug
