John:
The Working Families Party is proud to announce our endorsement of Elizabeth Warren in the Democratic primary for president of the United States!
We’re committed to helping Elizabeth win — and to organizing in our communities and online to make sure that the issues that matter to working families remain at the center of this primary campaign. But first we need to know: are you in?
Yes, I'm in! »

We believe the best way to defeat Donald Trump in 2020 is with a bold vision of a nation that works for the many, not just the few. That's why we're not sitting on the sidelines.
Over the last few months, the Working Families Party engaged in a deliberative process to decide on an endorsement in the 2020 race. Together, thousands of WFP dues-paying members and supporters along with our national governing body — which includes representatives from WFP state chapters, local branches, and national progressive leaders — discussed, debated, asked the candidates our questions, and voted. (You can read more about the full process here.)
We’re proud to endorse Elizabeth Warren and fight for an America for the many, not the powerful and privileged few.
We want a future where everyone can thrive, no matter who you are, where you come from, who you love, or how much money is in your pocket. Where we can all be free.
But that dream seems far off right now.
Kleptocrats and white supremacists have captured the White House and stacked the courts. Our democracy and our economy are controlled by a small group of millionaires and billionaires, and look at the results.
The 20 richest Americans have more wealth than the bottom half of our nation, while a full quarter of our nation’s children live in poverty. We’re the only industrialized nation in the world without universal paid sick days and family leave or guaranteed access to healthcare. Our system of mass incarceration and for-profit prisons jails tens of thousands of young people of color, and deprives them of their vote and their voice. Our cruel immigration system separates families and throws kids in cages.
The only way to begin to fix these problems is to defeat Donald Trump, and to do it with a candidate who will champion solutions that meet the scale of the crises we face. Medicare for All. A Green New Deal. A groundbreaking wealth tax that will begin to rebalance the scales of our economy. Universal childcare. That is the Elizabeth Warren agenda, and we are proud to support it.
Elizabeth Warren is one of the smartest, fiercest champions for working families in America today. Her critique of Wall Street and the financial industry helped lay the groundwork for Occupy Wall Street and she was the driving force behind the creation of a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Senator Warren has a clear vision of how race, class, and gender intersect, and her working-class background has given her deep insight into the struggles families face every day.
Elizabeth Warren is offering an agenda of real structural change. Not only does she have a plan for almost everything, but she realizes that plans alone are not enough. We need a movement to make those plans a reality. That is the movement we are going to build alongside Elizabeth Warren. If you're in, sign up now to help us build it.
This was a close vote, and it underscores the tough choice progressives face this year. We were proud to support Bernie Sanders in 2016, and we consider him a crucial ally in the fight for a more just world.
Senator Warren and Senator Sanders have proven to be a formidable duo on the campaign trail, organizing voters behind full-throated progressive messages. We hope that alliance continues through the primaries.
But in the end, we believe this campaign is too important to sit on the sidelines.
We believe the single best way to beat Donald Trump in 2020 is with a bold vision of a nation that works for the many, not just the few. That's why we're recruiting, training, and electing hundreds of progressive candidates at every level in 2019 and 2020. And that's why we're so excited to get to work to organize and elect a working families champion like Elizabeth Warren as our next president. Are you in?
