Dear
Friend
--
Our elections team, Office of the City Clerk and public safety
personnel have extensively prepared for a safe Election Day today.
I’ve reviewed our plans and we are working to ensure that everyone can
vote safely and that regardless of outcomes, the city stays safe in
the days ahead.
Voters in Long Beach have been voting for weeks, which is great.
But for everyone who hasn’t voted yet, there’s still time to do so. If
you have your completed mail-in ballot ready, be sure to put that into
one of our 18
drop-off locations throughout the city, including a drive-through
location at the CSULB Carpenter Performing Arts Center for your ease
and convenience.
And for residents who want to vote in person, the city has opened
some of our most iconic locations for voting, like the Long Beach
Convention Center, the Museum of Latin American Art and the LBCC -
Pacific Coast Campus. Check
out the full list here.
This election is about more than just who will become our next
President. Here in Long Beach, we have a local ballot measure and
several important local elections including for City Council, LBUSD
School Board and City College Trustee. And there are also many
statewide propositions for voters to consider. You can learn more
about all of these elections, find your local polling place and track
your vote-by-mail ballot at LAvote.net.
Thank you and stay safe,
Mayor Robert Garcia
