Nearly all of the Arctic Refuge coastal plain could be auctioned off for leasing by oil companies. Help fight back!

Dear Defender of Wildlife,

This is a nightmare for wildlife lovers like you and me.

We just learned that President Trump’s Interior Department has cleared the way to sell off oil drilling rights across the entire coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

The big winner: unbridled greed. The big losers: polar bears, caribou and one of America's last unspoiled habitats.

Your emergency donation will give us the resources we need to fight back for wildlife with every tool we have – before it's too late to stop this!

This smash-and-grab by Big Oil and Trump opens nearly the entire coastal plain of the Refuge to oil exploration and drilling – that's 1.56 million acres of arctic habitat that could be turned into a vast polluted wasteland.

The Interior Department even acknowledged that oil development is going to wreak havoc on the polar bears and caribou who call the Arctic Refuge home – but that's not stopping them paving the way for Big Oil.

Those bears are already the most critically imperiled polar bear population on the planet. They are spending increasing time on the coastal plain because their sea ice habitat is vanishing. Industrializing this iconic wild landscape will bring endless noise, pollution, and inevitable toxic oil spills

And that could be the final straw that erases polar bears from the very refuge that was created to conserve them.

Help us stop this assault on nature before it's too late. Donate today.

For the wild,
