Why your VOTE TODAY is critical in ending the war on drugs
Friend,

In this moment of a pandemic and collective action against systemic racism and police violence, drug policy reform is more urgent than ever.

Please read Kassandra’s email to you, sent this morning, where she says so passionately that “it’s clearer than ever that the drug war is a public health crisis, a tool of racial oppression and a wasteful misuse of government resources. And it’s also clear that more and more Americans like you are demanding reform.” And please make a donation to the Drug Policy Alliance if you can.

No matter the outcome of this election, we must stay focused. There is much work still to be done.

Fuel the fight. End the drug war.

Dear Friend,

So much is at stake today across the country. For too long the drug war has devastated families and violated human rights.

National momentum is growing to end our systems of mass criminalization. Voters in five more states have the chance to pass ballot measures to legalize adult-use or medical marijuana. And Oregon could become the first state in the country to decriminalize all drugs and expand access to addiction and other health services.

It’s clearer than ever that the drug war is a public health crisis, a tool of racial oppression and a wasteful misuse of government resources. And it’s also clear that more and more Americans like you are demanding reform.

So please vote today if you haven’t yet.
It is our time to help end this racist, inhumane drug war, and replace it with just, compassionate drug policies. And please make your first gift to DPA today. Your gift now is the fuel we need to build on our momentum and end this drug war once and for all.
