Friend,
Canadian parents understand the need to provide our kids with opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive. We all want them to have the best possible start in life.
But balancing working life with parenthood means that parents need affordable and reliable before and after school care – so that parents don’t have to choose between making ends meet and caring for our kids.
Today in Waterloo, Ontario, Justin Trudeau announced that a re-elected Liberal government will create up to 250,000 new before- and after-school spaces for kids under 10 and reduce parents’ before- and after-school care fees across the country by 10% for both existing and new spaces.
We’ll ensure that there are more child care options for parents who work overtime and late shifts, and we’ll also give more support to our early childhood educators who are often underpaid and overworked.
Since 2015, we have supported the creation of over 40,000 new pre-school care spaces – because affordable and accessible child care for Canadians is always a priority for our Liberal team. Today’s announcement is the next step in our plan to move forward with investments in families, better child care, and our middle class – but we need your support today to make it possible.
Chip in now to support the 2019 Re-election Fund and help Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team earn another mandate in this important election.
