Dr. Fauci is pleading with Americans to prepare for the winter months:“If things do not change, if they continue on the course we’re on, there’s gonna be a whole lot of pain in this country with regard to additional cases and hospitalizations, and deaths.”
The public health expert predicted that coronavirus cases would surge without a cohesive national response, but as the U.S. surpasses 75,000 cases a day, Donald Trump claims that no one cares about Fauci’s warnings: “People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots.”
But Dr. Fauci reassured Americans that Trump’s attacks “are mere distractions. I know what my job is, and I've gotta do it and I'm going to do it. So that kind of -- whatever you want to call it -- is to me, it's noise.”
No public servant should have to endure what Dr. Fauci has, especially considering he’s working around the clock to keep us safe now that the White House confirmed they’re “not going to control the pandemic.” While Trump and his Republican loyalists continue to wilfully undermine social distancing efforts and prematurely rollback coronavirus restrictions, we want to know if, like Trump claims, you’re tired of hearing Dr. Fauci’s advice.
